Ingredients
  • 1 pack Baladna Triangle Cheese
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, finely chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon sumac, optional
  • Samosa pastry sheets
  • Oil for frying or light brushing for baking
How it's made!

    Prepare the filling

    • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
    • Add the chopped onion and cook until soft.
    • Add the spinach and cook until wilted and excess moisture evaporates.
    • Season with salt and pepper, and add sumac if desired.
    • Remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
    • Mix the spinach mixture with Baladna Triangle Cheese until well combined.

    Shape the samosas

    • Place a spoonful of filling at one end of a samosa sheet.
    • Fold tightly into a triangle shape until sealed.
    • Repeat with remaining filling and pastry.

    Cook

    • Fry in hot oil until golden and crispy.
    • Alternatively, brush lightly with oil and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C until golden.

    Serve

    • Serve warm as a perfect Side Iftar dish.

    Tips

    • Make sure the spinach is well drained to avoid soggy pastry.
    • Baladna Triangle Cheese gives the filling a smooth and creamy texture that melts beautifully inside.
