Ingredients

For the dough

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon instant yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¾ cup warm water

    For the topping
  • 1 cup shredded Baladna Mozzarella
  • ½ cup shredded Baladna Cheddar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • A pinch of salt
How it's made!

    Prepare the dough

    • In a bowl, mix warm water with yeast and sugar. Let sit for 5 minutes until activated.
    • In another bowl, combine flour and salt.
    • Add yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
    • Knead for 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
    • Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.

    Shape the breadsticks

    • Preheat oven to 200°C.
    • Roll the dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
    • Transfer to a lined baking tray.

    Add the cheese topping

    • Brush the surface lightly with olive oil.
    • Sprinkle Baladna Mozzarella and Baladna Cheddar evenly on top.
    • Add oregano, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt.

    Bake and slice

    • Bake for 15 to 18 minutes until golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
    • Remove from the oven and slice into long strips while still warm.

    Serve

    • Serve warm as a delicious Side Iftar snack, perfect for dipping.

    • Baladna Mozzarella provides excellent melt and stretch.
    • Baladna Cheddar adds a rich flavor and golden finish.
