Baladna is located north of the city of Doha and spreads over an area of 2.4 million sqm. with a capacity to house 24,000 cows. Baladna provides a comfortable and well-conditioned environment for the cows, allowing them to reach their production capacity comfortably.
Our farms are designed to protect the cows from the large changes in climate and to provide each animal with sufficient space for their free movement, ensuring that they are not restricted to a narrow area or tight space.
The milking process is done by a modern mechanism with milk quantity readers. In addition to a factory for filling of milk and the production of dairy and cheeses and certain types of sweets (Halawat Al-Jubn, Majuqh, Pudding, etc....)
We also offer integrated veterinary services for livestock care and provide all medicines in the veterinary laboratory analyzes which are equipped with the latest devices.
The fertilizers produced at our farm are free from impurities and odors and due to the distinctive design of hangars and the fermentation process of these fertilizers.

Dr. Adnan is an Independent Board Member of Power International Holding, Assets Real Estate Development Co. and Baladna co. – Qatar. In addition, he is an Independent Board Member of Arab Jordan Investment Bank and Palestine Investment Bank as well.
He is also an Executive Director and Secretary to the Board of Directors at Salam International Investment Limited and Advisor & Secretary to the Board of Directors of Salam Bounian Development. Dr. Steitieh has held several managerial and leadership positions in different companies and countries.
In addition, Dr. Adnan is an International Arbitrator accredited by Qatar International Center for Conciliation and Arbitration, an Assistant Professor at the College of Management & Economics - Qatar University and a member of Award Committee of Social Responsibility.
Dr. Steitieh holds a doctorate (Ph.D.) in Management and Economics from HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management – Germany and a bachelor’s degree in Law & Political Sciences from Arab University of Beirut – Lebanon in addition to various Diplomas and other advanced qualifications in International Relations, Sustainable Development, Reserve Management, and Public Policy. Dr. Steitieh has cumulative operational experience of ca. 40 years.
Chief Executive Officer
CEO of Baladna Food Industries, the largest dairy and juice beverage producer in Qatar. Prior to joining Baladna, Dr. Kamel Abdallah served as Executive Vice Chairman/CEO of Aujan Industries/Rani Investment (now Aujan-Coca Cola), the largest private beverage player in the Middle East (Rani, Vimto, Barbican) which included 3 beverage factories and 2 can making factories, as well the CEO of Exeed Industries, an Abu Dhabi based Industrial/Agricultural family office group with farms and feed mills among its 17 companies. He was also the Managing Director of AATCO Food Industries in Oman, the largest GCC manufacturer of wet condiments food in the region.
Dr. Kamel remains integrated with his academia, where he has been an Assistant Vice President of American University of Beirut; and Professor of Strategy and Finance as well as holding tenure and leading academic departments in the USA.
With his proven leadership and expertise, Dr. Kamel will lead the strategic growth of Baladna and drive Baladna’s growth to the next level - establishing an innovative brand with a dominant market share which supports the transformation of the national food security program regionally.
Dr. Kamel holds a Ph.D in Strategic Management from the Ohio State University; Master’s Degree in International Trade and Finance from the American University in Washington D.C. and Ohio State University; and a BA in Economics from the American University of Beirut. He has been awarded the Honorary title of Colonel by the Governor of Kentucky, as well as numerous awards in the US and the region. He is considered a Subject-Matter expert on regional food security programs and is a frequent speaker at investment and agriculture conferences in the GCC.
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Tom White is the Chief Operating Officer of Baladna Food Industries.
At Baladna, Mr. White has overall responsibility for the company’s operations including supply chain management.
Mr. White is an accomplished senior management professional, with more than 32 years of experience in the areas of Sales and Commercial Management, Supply Chain Management, General Management and Continuous Improvement starting in his native country, Ireland, as well as across the entire Gulf Cooperation Council region for the past seventeen years. Prior to joining Baladna, he was the Vice President, Commercial and Vice President, Supply Chain with Al Safi Danone KSA. In his previous roles, Mr. White has significant experience of successfully implementing new supply chain models.
Mr. White is a graduate of the Marketing Institute of Ireland and holds a Professional Certificate in Management from the Open University London.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Saifullah Khan has served as Chief Financial Officer of Baladna Food Industries since July 2019.
As CFO, Mr. Khan is responsible for the strategic management of Baladna’s financial functions. He has considerable experience of scaling financial operations and organizational restructuring and has a strong track record in delivering improved financial performance, productivity and governance. Mr. Khan’s career has spanned a range of sectors including construction, manufacturing and dairy, and he has served in senior-level financial positions with a range of multinational companies such as NLC Pakistan and Qatar Power Construction.
Mr. Khan is Cluster Chief Financial Officer for the Power International Holding Group, of which Baladna is part. Mr. Khan holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a Master’s degree in Finance and a CPA certification.
Chief Commercial Officer
Mr. Mehmet Yilmaz is Chief Commercial Officer of Baladna Food Industries.
As Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Yilmaz is responsible for sales and turnover at the company. Prior to joining Baladna, he was the Sales and Category Director for Lactalis, the leading dairy brand in Turkey. He has extensive experience of the beverages category, having previously served in roles for Unilever, as Regional Director for Aujan Industries for the Gulf, Levant and East Asia, and as General Manager of Yildiz Granini, the leading manufacturer of fruit juice in the world.
Mr. Yilmaz qualified at the Istanbul University of Economics.
Strategy and Budget Planning Director
Mr. Alfred Mouawad is Strategy and Budget Planning Director at Baladna Food Industries.
Mr. Mouawad has more than 14 years of experience in developing performance matrix for leading organizations across the Middle East. At Baladna, he leads the company’s corporate strategy, and holds accountability for risk management, performance management and budget planning.
His previous experience includes an assignment with Deloitte Qatar, providing advisory services on Mergers & Acquisitions and he has also worked with the Jaidah Group to drive their Strategy and Business Planning efforts.
Mr. Mouawad graduated in Economics from Saint Joseph University in Lebanon and completed an Executive Masters in Investment Banking from Rotterdam School of Management in the Netherlands.
Mr. Mohamad Kheir is HR Director for Baladna Food Industries.
As HR Director, Mr. Kheir is responsible for managing and driving Baladna’s strategic human resource objectives, with a focus on talent development, talent acquisition, compensation and benefits, and building an effective performance management system.
Mr. Kheir is a dynamic HR professional with more than 10 years of industry experience. Prior to the joining the company in 2012, he worked in similar roles in Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.
Mr. Kheir holds a Masters Degree in Management Information Systems and is a Certified Human Resource Manager.
Legal Counsel and Board Secretary
Ms. Taghrid Hamieh is Legal Counsel and Board Secretary of Baladna Food Industries.
Ms. Hamieh is a seasoned legal professional with more than 17 years of experience as a legal counsel, and in corporate litigation. Her specialisms include negotiation and arbitration, and has significant experience of resolving complex legal matters related to corporate, commercial, civil and labor laws.
She is a law graduate from Beirut Arab University and has several certifications including Certificate in International Arbitration from the Qatar Chamber of Commerce. Ms. Hamieh is also a member of the Beirut Bar Association and Arab Chamber of Conciliation and Arbitration.
Ms. Hamieh has worked with a number of prominent business groups in Qatar and Lebanon, including Abuissa Holding and Vision V Holding.
Mr. Firas Khalil is IT Director at Baladna Food Industries. Mr. Khalil was one of the founding team members at Baladna in 2014, and has been instrumental in the development of information systems at the company. He has led the digital transformation at Baladna with the implementation of SAP across business functions.
Prior to joining Baladna, Mr. Khalil worked with a number of leading IT services providers in France including Automative Valeo, Dassault, and EDF Energy.
Mr. Khalil holds a Masters degree in ERP Project Management from EI-CESI, Paris and a Bachelors in Mechanical and Production Engineering from Paris XI University.
Director, Public Relations & Communications
Ms. Saba Al Fadala joined Baladna in 2019 as Public Relations & Communications Director.
Her role is integral to the company’s growth strategy, with responsibility to sustain relationships with key stakeholders and the local media, while also building a strong corporate social responsibility strategy for the Baladna brand.
Ms. Al Fadala has extensive experience in the food industry. Prior to joining Baladna, she served as the Executive Director at Hassad Food, Qatar's premier investor in the food and agri-business sector. She has also led projects at ictQatar and Malomatia.
Ms. Al Fadala graduated with a Masters degree in Molecular Life Sciences & Research from Kings College London. She is passionate about serving the community and helping Qatar achieve its self-sufficiency goals, and was one of the first Qatari women in the agri-investment business and the food industry.
Manufacturing Director, Dairy & Juice
Mr. Flemming Christensen is Baladna’s Manufacturing Director for Dairy & Juice.
At Baladna, Mr. Christensen is responsible for the dairy and juice manufacturing operations, including plant optimization and development of production facilities.
He has an extensive career in the dairy industry spanning 25 years, including 15 years in the Middle East. He has previously held positions with Al Buheira Lacnor Dairies and NFPC Oman.
Mr. Christensen is a qualified food technologist and studied in his native Denmark and in the United States.
Manufacturing Director, Plastic
Mr. Martin Buissine is the Manufacturing Director for Plastic at Baladna Food Industries.
Mr. Buissine joined Baladna in 2018 and oversees the plastic packaging business, as well as ensuring packaging supply for in-house dairy production.
He has over 35 years of experience in the dairy and plastic packaging industry. Prior to his role at Baladna, Mr. Buissine led a plastic manufacturing company in South Africa which provided parts to Ford, Toyota, Mazda and other household names. Since then, he has specialized in development packaging and design for the dairy industry.
Born in the UK, Mr. Bussine grew up in Africa and qualified as a Mechanical Engineer in South Africa. He is a member of the Association of Engineers in the USA, and has received a number of awards for product innovation.
Mr. Charles Stevens is Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Director at Baladna Food Industries.
In his role, Mr. Stevens is responsible for developing, implementing and managing effective management systems with the objective to demonstrate continual improvement in HSE performance of our organization. In his career, he has consistently led strategies that have reduced incident frequency rates and improved risk management processes.
Mr. Stevens has over 18 years of experience in diverse industries including aviation, bulk fuel installations, civil construction and the built environment.
Mr. Stevens is a Registered Lead Auditor (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems) in addition to an Environmental Management System Lead Auditor.
SENIOR COMPLIANCE MANAGER - FARM
Siddeek Samsudeen is a Senior Compliance Manager at Baladna Food Industries, Qatar’s largest producer of fresh dairy.
In his role, Mr. Samusdeen is responsible for ensuring that processes and standards at Baladna’s dairy farms are fully compliant with company and regulatory standards.
He has substantial experience of the dairy industry, having previously worked as a Herd Manager at Nishat Dairy in Pakistan, a Senior Veterinarian and Animal Health Manager at NADA Dairy and a Consulting Veterinarian at Almarai Livestock.
